Winter Engagement Session {post by natalie}

Ok, so it's the end of winter & I am so completely over it. I usually dread that very "brown" time, after the snow is gone & before the grass turns green…this past week we had some higher temperatures which started to melt the massive amounts of snow everywhere & I can honestly say seeing all of the brown ground peeking out through the snow put the biggest smile on my face! Did you know that this Thursday is the first official day of Spring?? I am so EXCITED!!! The only reason I'm glad that there is still snow on the ground is because of this Engagement Session. We've had this bonfire idea brewing for a little while now & this past weekend it all came together! So thrilled for these brides-to-be! For now, just a sneak peek while I get everything edited! Man, I don't know about you guys, but this winter is starting to bring me down! At first, I fought it by keeping up my fun, winter activities (shoots in the fresh snow! snowball fights! reading by the fire!), but by now I'm more in "survival mode." This means I'm cooking up a storm (and working on my food photography at the same time). Below are a few of the things I've been eating lately.

Just think how exciting summer will be with fresh veggies and salads! I cannot wait.

This week is a week of inspiring meetings and prepping for our upcoming Bridal Fairs! Before catching the bus on my way home this morning, I snapped a few photos.  Yep, it's quite cold and people are bundled up here in Norway too! (ok, maybe it's not as cold as Northern MN..hehe) Let's embrace the cute hats and scarfs...the bit of sun....and the cold?!  ;)

I throughly enjoyed myself collaborating with Chelsea of Chelea's Cool Cakes on this GORGEOUS winter cake shoot! We wanted to push our creative minds so we literally drove out into the Norwegian woods and found the perfect spot with aaaawesome golden light! Maria, our model, was such a trooper sticking out the cold temps.  With Scandinavian clean and Norwegian red magic happened! Wether you're getting married in January or having a February Valentines theme, I hope you find some inspiration here!
